Lucia will give a workshop together with Marjetica Potrc, 27-28-29 January 2010, within the course of Marjetica Potrc at IUAV: Sustainable Venice. The workshop will focus on giving voice to the invisibles through four Lucia's projects: The Cook, the Farmer, his Wife and their Neighbor, Homemade and the experiences of Singingchairs and of Moving in Free Zones #2.
During the IUAV course Sustainable Venice, "Marjetica, together with Marguerite Kahrl will articulate and realize actions that make this “other Venice” visible. They will draw attention to Venice’s communities, the public spaces inhabited by Venetians, and the agricultural land on the Lagoon islands. We will think about the future of Venice. We believe that the crucial process of recovering the city for its citizens begins when citizens reclaim their spaces and give value to their communities; this results in an “upscaling” of Venice at a time when the city has become synonymous with degrowth."
