Nowadays, the big movements of social, political and scientific awareness about what will become of the world through environmental, economic and demographic concerns confirm the necessity of fundamental change in the ways we produce and nurture our urban societies.
Evento 2011 aims to engage art in the processes of the city’s transformation so as to imagine alternative models. The role of art at the service of citizenship, as well as the nature of the relationship between artistic, scientific, and cultural production in the city must be re-evaluated in order to try to identify the paths to a collective and sustainable urban re-evolution.
It is with these challenges in mind that Evento sets up a big laboratory of propositions and a playground for the imagination. It seems indispensable to work in and for the long-term and to create spaces in which the transversal practice of disciplines will allow the creation of a platform for exchange in order to imagine with its citizens the future of the agglomeration of Bordeaux.

Cohabitation Strategies is involved in Evento 2011 in the production of an urban research, in the coordination of a 'chantier' (urban laboratory) and in the realization of a urban protocol.
